Hotel Room [Kelly/Jennifer]

I know, I suck at story titles. But whatever, nobody reads a story for its title anyway :P

Okay, so an anon asked for a Kelly/Jennifer pairing, and I have prevailed. I’m not a massive fan of this pairing, but I still think they’d be quite hot together. It was weird writing Jennifer without Lauren. If you have a problem with the pairing, I don’t care. Any hate will just be deleted. It’s obviously a hypothetical, fictional story, so don’t get all butthurt over it.

I’ll shut up now and let you read. I don’t think it’s as good as it could have been, but hey ho. This is what you’re getting! <3

Kelly wiped a hand over her face. Waking up was a bitch. She glanced over to the single bed just metres away from hers.  In it lay a sleeping blonde, peacefully breathing in and out, her hands together under her cheek. Kelly smiled, taking in the view. She was so beautiful. The blonde stirred, opening her eyes.

‘Duets’ was close to starting, and travelling around, staying in various hotels suited both girls just fine. They usually shared a bed to save on costs, but this time, the only room spare was a twin. It didn’t matter, though. The two were just friends, after all.

“Jennifer, is there any moment of any day where you look less than perfect?” Kelly asked, watching from her bed as the blonde stripped off her nightie and flung it close to her suitcase. Her underwear matched. A modest, pastel blue cotton set she’d bought on the cheap from one of the shops nearby the hotel.
She tousled her hair and smiled.
“Oh hush, you. I have not once seen you look bad this entire time.” She grinned. She’d gotten quite close to the brunette since they’d been thrust together through auditions. Not that either of them had minded being thrust together, they both enjoyed the company of other females. It was just a bonus that they were both attractive.

Kelly blushed at the compliment and fiddled with the corner of her pillow. Jennifer pulled on a tight fitting t-shirt and a pair of plain denim jeans.
“I still don’t understand how you can be so ready in the morning. It takes me ages to wake me up. I always need something to start me off.” Kelly regretted how dirty it sounded as soon as she said it. Oh well, she thought. It’s not like she’s not filthy. I’ve heard some of her stories… She warded off a giggle by clearing her throat.
“Oh. I bet you do!” Jennifer laughed and winked in Kelly’s direction.
“What are we doing today? Have we got audition or anything?” Kelly cursed herself for never knowing what she was doing.
“Nope, not today!” Jennifer almost sang, always chirpy. “We have a whole day to do aaaaanythingggg you want to do.” She looked Kelly straight in the eyes as she said it.
“Why me?” Kelly asked, confused. She thought she sensed something else in Jennifer’s voice but couldn’t pinpoint it. Jennifer just shrugged.
“I just like your company, if I’m honest!” she said, walking off into the en suite. Kelly pulled a confused face, but let it go.
“Well!” she raised her voice so the blonde could hear her over the running water. “I don’t mind just hanging out here? You know, a day off?” She paused, waiting for a response. She didn’t get one. “We could just get a film out and eat ice cream?” she continued. She paused again. Still no reply. She swung her legs out of bed and pulled off her top. She wasn’t wearing a bra, they were uncomfortable to sleep in. She didn’t expect Jennifer to walk back in at that exact minute she threw her top onto her bed, but that’s just how life works sometimes.
“That sounds good to me.” Jennifer said, unabashedly, not averting her eyes as she saw Kelly half nude in their room. The brunette covered her breasts with both hands, crossing them over her chest. Jennifer gave Kelly a half smile, glancing over her friend’s body before making a satisfied  ‘hm’ noise and walking back into the bathroom. Kelly let herself go and perched herself on the end of her bed. What just happened? She got herself dressed and sat on the bed. Jennifer didn’t emerge from the bathroom for a while.
“You were gone ages.” The brunette stated the obvious as Jennifer sat down on her own bed.  Jennifer looked shifty.
“I know.”

“Oh. Okay.” Kelly didn’t question it further. She had her suspicions, Jennifer looked unusually flushed.
“Did you pick a movie?” Jennifer flicked through a room service menu on the desk.
“Not yet, I wanted to wait for you.”
“Okay.” Jennifer circled a number in the leaflet. “What did you want room service wise?” She asked, casting a glance in her friend’s direction.
“I wanted ice cream, if we’re getting a film? I don’t really fancy proper food if we’re just slumming it.” She gave her a smile.
“Good plan. What flavour?”
“I like chocolate.” Kelly replied flippantly. She didn’t really mind what flavour she had.
“I’m more of a vanilla girl myself.” Jennifer looked at her and gave her a half smile.
She picked up the phone and dialled the number.  She ordered the ice cream and a bottle of champagne, with two glasses.
“Since we’re not doing anything today…” Jennifer gave her a cheeky wink. Kelly grinned, she liked a drink. Jennifer thanked the person on the other end of the phone and flopped down onto her bed. She faced Kelly, a contemplative look across her face.
“Are you excited?” she asked. Kelly looked at her and wondered what she was on about. “For Duets, baby, the singing?” She smiled at the brunette.

“Oh!” Kelly understood now, it made sense. “Yes, of course! Of course I am. I just hope I find a decent partner. There’s just so much talent out there and it really sucks having to settle on just two.” Kelly had been worrying about this for weeks, but she hadn’t let on. It was nice to have someone to connect with and talk to about this stuff. She watched Jennifer’s face as she spoke, taking it in. She really listened when people spoke to her. She gave them her undivided attention. Kelly watched her as she slightly pursed her lips with a smile. Kelly had never noticed Jennifer’s lips before. They gave so much of her expression away. She was beautiful when she smiled.
“What are you staring at?” Jennifer giggled as she said it. “Girl, you’re miles away. Is there something on my face?” She reached up to brush her cheek in jest.
“It’s- it’s just. Nothing. No. Don’t worry.” Kelly smiled and shook her head, blushing.
“One minute you were talking and the next you stopped and just stared.” Jennifer laughed.
Their door knocked and Jennifer jumped off the bed. Kelly buried her face in her hands while she had the chance, internally screaming at herself for her embarrassing behaviour.

Jennifer strolled back in with a tray. The champagne bottle wavered precariously as she walked and Kelly feared for its safety. She jumped up and picked it off.
“Eager?” Jennifer teased, winking. Kelly laughed nervously.
“It was just, you know. About to topple.” She gave a weak grin and popped the top off the bottle, quickly pouring it into two glasses. She passed one to Jennifer, who was opening up the ice cream.
“Ha. They gave us bowls. Bowls.” Jennifer giggled to herself. “Like hell am I using a bowl. Straight from the tub.” She grabbed a spoon and stuck in her vanilla.
Kelly passed her a glass of champagne and sat on her own bed, taking her ice cream with her.
“We never chose a film.” Jennifer realised, taking the spoon from her mouth.
“What’s your favourite?” Kelly asked.
“No, no! I wanted this to be a nice time for you. What’s your favourite?” Jennifer implored. Kelly looked at her from her bed, stunned. Why was this meant to be a nice time for me?
“I don’t really have one.” She said, coming to a conclusion. “Anything from the 80s?”
Jennifer smiled. She knew there was a reason she liked Kelly.
“Say Anything.” Jennifer said, purposefully making bedroom eyes over to Kelly.
“Uhm, huh?” Kelly felt a pull at her stomach and cleared her throat.
“The movie. Oh, don’t look at me scared like that, I was kidding! Do you want to see the movie or what?” Jennifer brushed it off. Kelly stammered and drank from her glass.
“Oh! Oh yes, yeah sure. Find it on Netflix?” Kelly threw Jennifer the remote.
“Okay. Shut the curtains and turn off the light?” Jennifer requested, pressing buttons on the control to find the movies. Kelly did as she was asked.
“Found it.” Jennifer pressed play. “Oh, wait.” She stood up on her bed and pulled off her trousers. Kelly watched her, her eyes widening.
“What?” Jennifer smiled. “If we’re watching a film, I’m getting comfy.” She pointed at her bare legs. “You can do the same, I won’t tell. I’ve already seen you naked today anyway.” Jennifer laughed and winked. Stop winking, Jennifer. Stop it right now. You’ll weird her out.
Kelly blushed. She nervously kicked off her trousers and flicked them off the bed. Jennifer looked pleased and made herself comfy.
“I’m ordering another bottle of champagne. One bottle isn’t going to last.” Jennifer eyed the bottle, noticing there was only half left as it was. “Better make that two more bottles.”
Kelly could hold her drink as well as anyone, but champagne made her really drunk, really fast. Not that she’d admit it to Jennifer.

The film started and the two settled down on their beds, downing their champagne. In no time, they were pretty drunk.
“I should. -Hic-.  I should NOT drink champagne; it goes STRAIGHT to my head.” Jennifer admitted, pouring another glass. Kelly lay across her bed sideways, not facing the TV. She extended her arm, an empty glass at the end.
“Pour me some, please?” She asked, giggling. Jennifer reached over and clumsily poured another glass, bubbles spilling over the edge.
“Why Jennifer Nettles, I do believe that you are drunk.” Kelly grinned, sipping the overflow from the rim.
“Oh, and you’re not?!” Jennifer said, waving her arms about. She threw the entire glass of her champagne on the bed in front of her. She looked at her glass, and then down to the bed.
“Kelly… I’m getting in your bed.” Jennifer stared at the wet patch on her sheets.
“You’re what?” Kelly gulped.
“Mine’s damp.” Jennifer said, simply. Kelly laughed.
“Jen, I know I’m pretty sexy, but calm down. No need to have to change your pants.” She joked with the blonde, sitting up on her bed. Jennifer giggled, but didn’t move.
“Well, are you coming here or not?” Kelly asked, impatiently. She lifted up her duvet, exposing her naked legs and pink panties, patting the space next to her. Jennifer stared at her legs.
“Jen, I’m getting cold.” Jennifer snapped out of it and climbed in next to Kelly. She didn’t touch her. Instead, she brought her knees up to her chin and rested her glass on them. She poured some more of the fizzy liquid, making sure not to spill this time. Gripping her glass, she pushed her legs back down the bed, being mindful not to get too close to Kelly.

They watched the movie, occasionally breaking out into fits of giggles over a line of speech.
“Oh my God, we’re not even halfway through and we’re drunk. Jennifer, it’s the middle of the day.” Kelly laughed and leaned her head on Jennifer’s shoulder. Jennifer paused, hyperaware of Kelly’s brown hair bushing against her arm.
“I know, I know. I’ve seen this movie so many times, you wouldn’t even believe.” Kelly chuckled and wrapped an arm around Jennifer’s under the duvet, taking hold of her hand. Jennifer was pretty sure her heart was about to beat straight out of her chest.
“What are you doing?” Jennifer didn’t move her hand away. She took it and wrapped her fingers together with Kelly’s.
“Holding your hand.”
“Why?”
“Should I not?”
“No! No. I mean.” Jennifer coughed, kicking herself for speaking so quickly. “I like it.”
“Good.” Kelly wiggled her fingers free and stroked up and down Jennifer’s forearm. Jennifer shivered. Jennifer leaned her head on top of Kelly’s. They sat and watched the film, silent this time. Neither of them laughed, and neither of them spoke. Kelly was the first to talk.
“I wasn’t scared.”
“What?” Jennifer asked.
“When you mentioned Say Anything, you made the sexy face and the sensual voice. I wasn’t looking at you funny because I was scared. It was an entirely different reason.” Kelly’s cheeks burned. The champagne had made her more honest, but she still felt embarrassed.
“Oh.” Jennifer fell silent. “While we’re sharing, I wasn’t joking either. I just thought you were scared off. So I just pretended I was joking.”
“Oh. Okay.”
Jennifer put her empty glass on the table and pulled Kelly closer by the waist. The brunette looked up at Jennifer with big brown eyes, and Jennifer felt her doing so. She glanced down and didn’t have a chance to stop herself before she felt herself press her lips against Kelly’s.
Kelly kissed back for a second and moved away.
“Jennifer…”
“I’ve wanted to do that since the first night we had to share a bed.” Jennifer confessed. Kelly didn’t say anything. Instead, she lunged herself at Jennifer, kissing her hungrily. She straddled the blonde and felt her hum against her mouth. She took advantage of the situation and licked Jennifer’s bottom lip, demanding access. Jennifer granted it willingly, parting her lips and clashing their tongues against each other.
Jennifer couldn’t believe what was happening. She thought when she kissed Kelly that she’d push her away, telling her that she was very much straight. But she hadn’t. And now this was happening. It was all going so fast.

Jennifer ran her hands up Kelly’s body, pushing her t-shirt up and groping at her breast. She hadn’t put a bra on that morning, seeing as they had planned not to leave the hotel. Jennifer was glad; she was far too drunk to be messing around with clasps.
“Mmmmh.” Kelly groaned, raising her arms so Jennifer could pull off the shirt. She threw it away from them, and pulled Kelly by the back of the neck towards her. Kelly kissed her neck, sucking at the base. She reached an arm down to pull at Jennifer’s panties. They rolled down Jennifer’s thigh, and Kelly had to raise herself to her knees to pull them the rest of the way off. She ran a hand back up her thigh and cupped between Jennifer’s legs.
“Oh God, you’re so wet.” Kelly purred, running her fingers along the slit. Jennifer arched her back into the touch. Kelly moved herself back to better angle herself. She kissed hurriedly along Jennifer’s stomach, pushing up her shirt with both hands and replacing the material with tiny, fluttering kisses. She reached just under Jennifer’s breasts and the material of the shirt got stuck. She groaned in frustration and let go.
“Sit up. Take your shirt off.” She instructed. She shifted her weight on top of Jennifer’s legs to allow her room to sit. Jennifer peeled the shirt off and dropped it next to her. She made eye contact with Kelly for a split second, her breathing ragged.
Kelly dipped her head forward and licked across her chest, reaching a peaked nipple. She took it in her mouth and ran her tongue across it, sucking it into her mouth and gently biting down. Jennifer hissed, throwing her head back further into the pillow, and Kelly repeated the actions on the other.
She stopped what she was doing and rested her palms under Jennifer’s ribs; they were both out of breath, panting against each other. Kelly looked at her, resigned.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” She questioned.  She absent-mindedly wove little patterns on the woman’s stomach beneath her. Jennifer didn’t say anything, she simply nodded. They sat in silence for a few moments.
“Yeah.” Jennifer whispered her reply. “I’m sure.”
Kelly nodded and sat forward, kissing the blonde gently on the lips. It was less urgent this time, more relaxed. The girls eased into it, and nothing felt rushed or forced. It was natural.
Jennifer realised she was completely naked underneath Kelly. Everything had happened so fast, she didn’t really think about what was happening. Kelly laid herself flat on top of Jennifer, extending her legs and wrapping hers with the older woman’s. She stopped kissing her mouth and planted them across her jawline and down her neck.
“You’re really beautiful, Jen.” Kelly whispered to her, her hands running over her body as her lips covered every piece of skin within their reach.
“So are you.” Jennifer replied, reaching up with her right hand to caress Kelly’s breast.

She was in shock. She’d been with women before, but none of them compared to what she’d been feeling for the beautiful brunette that was hovering over. The others hadn’t meant anything to her. Her and Kelly had been friends for a while, Jennifer knew her. She had gotten to know her personality, what she liked, what she didn’t. Up ‘til now, Kelly had never mentioned anything about sleeping with women. She’d spoken about boyfriends, and obviously sex came with those conversations. But she’d never spoken about women. Jennifer had just assumed that Kelly was straight and that was it.
Kelly shivered and moved a hand down Jennifer’s body, her hand shaking.
Jennifer’s breath hitched as Kelly slid two fingers inside of her and pumped them slowly in and out.
“When you stood on your bed and pulled off your jeans like that, it was one of the hottest things I’ve ever seen. You didn’t just pull them; you did it slowly, bending over and… mmh.” Kelly shivered, feeling inside Jennifer and thinking back to earlier that day. Jennifer hummed and slid both hands down Kelly’s curves, resting one hand on her hip, the other carried on further, feeling over the front of her panties. Jennifer wondered how she hadn’t taken them off yet. She teased the top of the elastic with a finger, stretching it out and pulling it down just enough to get the rest of her hand down. She ran her fingers along Kelly’s folds and applied some pressure. Her fingers slid in easily and she quickly got into the same rhythm as Kelly.
“Shit.” Jennifer breathed out and Kelly bent down to capture her lips in a fiery kiss. She fought against thrusting her hips closer to Jennifer’s hand.
“I’m gonna come.” Kelly said, eloquent as ever. Jennifer sped up and Kelly did the same, both of them panting, their breathing ragged.
“Oh God, Kelly!” Jennifer shouted as she reached her orgasm. Listening to Jennifer scream her name pushed her over the edge and her muscles clenched, her legs shaking.
“Fuck.” Jennifer exhaled sharply as Kelly rolled off of her, lying on her back on top of the hotel’s duvet.

“How come we’ve never done this before?” Kelly asked, intertwining her fingers with Jennifer’s.
“I don’t know. I’ve been wanting to this whole time. Every night we had to share a bed. I just didn’t know if you wanted to.” Her voice shook as the words tumbled out.
“I’ve wanted to, too. Think of it this way.” Kelly said, excited. “We’ve got a whole load of auditions to get through. And a lot of hotels to stay in. And then…”
Jennifer grinned, thinking about it. Shit, she thought.
“And then what?” She asked, even though she knew the answer.
“Well who says it has to end there?” Kelly grinned. Jennifer grinned back, rolling on top of her and kissing her passionately.

“You are so right.”
